Thiagarajan Automobiles, Tallakulam was established in the year 1968, on the banks of the Tallakulam tank. It was inaugurated by the then Collector of Madurai, Mr. TN Seshan in a grand and colourful ceremony.
Over the years T Auto Tallakulamhas grown into a prominent retail outlet with a good volume of business. Besides petroleum, T Auto Tallakulam was well known for its car wash facility.
In the nineties, T Auto Tallakulam had touched the magic figure of 100 KL sales of Motor Spirit (Petrol). It was recognized by Indian Oil Corporation and was included in IOC’s VISION 2000 (Modernization Plan).The outlet was modernized in the year 1999. It had the latest electronic dispensing units, metal halide lighting, a huge Canopy, an ATM, concreteddriveway, refreshmentshop, etc. From then on it was only an uphill climb.
In the year 2002, the sale of Motor Spirit (Petrol) touched 270KL, the highest in Tamil Nadu.
